Because most of it is a scam. There are a few reputable programs, I’m sure, but they’re more the exception than the rule, IMO ,and they’re too rare to play the odds that one is legit.

So much stuff doesn’t work and people have to be really selective in where they invest their time and money. MLM is a turnoff, for the most part and people aren’t that stupid.

I just **** it when people start talking about “recruiters,” “sponsors,” “downlines” and this sort of thing. I usually tell them to go to heck. I prefer business that deals directly with customers and providing quality service, without the ambition that is usually connected with MLM.

CAUSE IT’S A SCAM! IT’S A PREDITORY BUSINESS! YOU RECRUIT OTHERS BECAUSE YOU CAN’T SELL ENOUGH TO HIRE THEM AS YOUR OWN EMPLOYEES! THEY DESERVE EXACTLY THE STIGMA THEY HAVE. EVER HEAR OF ONE BEING BOUGHT OR SOLD? NOT ME…NOT ANYONE I KNOW

How did the MLM people brainwash you so effectively?

Here is a fact: MLM is ONLY ever good for a certain percentage (what percent depends on the size of the company, the financial structure, etc.) of the FIRST people to get in on it. The structure is such that the people who get in early make their money from the people who get in later — NOT from sales of products. That means if you’re in early, you can win big. If you’re in late, all you’re going to do is wind up enriching the guy who recruited you, and doing nothing for yourself.

IT’S A SCAM. Plain and simple.
People with enthusiasm and the desire to earn financial independence can do so without having to hand over a large part of their earnings to somebody else — they can start their own businesses and be successful without the baggage of all those people in an MLM who got in before them. That’s what smart people do. MLM’s are for poor ignorant folks who don’t understand how badly they’re going to get screwed over, and don’t understand how much of their hard work will just pay other people for doing nothing.

SCAM. Get it?

I’m 46, and “retired” this year. I never have to work again, own a $1.5M house, and only work part-time at something I love when I want to. And I didn’t do it off the backs of unsuspecting “recruits” by scamming them.

The one that I was involved with was less than desirable. Very greedy, it was impossible to succeed in that particular one. I would like to think however that was the worse case scenario. I think that most people at this point have had a bad experience with them, thus they are put off by them.

Wow. Somebody’s been brainwashed!

99.9% of those things are scams that just take peoples’ hard-earned money.

most people have been taught to be someones indentured servant or paycheck slave. most people are to scared to dream their own dreams not their bosses.
as for up front fees - show me a doctor, plumber ,airline pilot, ships pilot, auto mechanic, carpenter, nurse, daycare giver, x ray tech, druggist, veterinarian, minister, rabbi, priest, teacher who did not spend time and “Money” to start their profession. I’ll show you an impostor and fraud.
see when you go for a job - you sell your body mind spirit and time for the ‘highest’ price only to be bought for the lowest price your employer can get you for.
MLM companies are different in that you can actually get what you are worth not what your company say you are.
Want the best MLM company ? try Social Security.
Most companies push the big bucks when in truth 500$ extra take home would stop most divorces and bankruptcies.

Most are Scams and don’t have a track record. Try Checking out this well established, in demand business, which you can work from home on line as I do. Be your own boss and work the hours you want to work.

In a lot of the cases it is not the company that people have the problem with, it is their neighbor that will not leave them alone about some “great opportunity”. However in most cases their neighbor did not do any real business research. Most people treat MLM like a hobby so it becomes an expensive hobby. Out of thousands of companies there are probably about 20 or 30 good companies and about 5 great companies. Those are pretty tough odds. If you are with a great company you probably did several years research before joining or you got really really lucky.

P.S. Always represent your company as an ambassador.
